Glossary of Aston Martin Terms

If you’re new the the fascinating world of Aston Martins, this this glossary may help you. Words like ‘superleggera’ ‘kamm tail’ and ‘cosmetic’ often cause confusion so this section is here to demystify things a little. I have tried to include as many specialised Aston Martin related words as possible plus some others which have caused confusion to visitors in the past. Kensington, London

The first Aston Martin factory was situated in Henniker Mews, Kensington, London. Kensington Palace was also the venue for the Aston Martin Centennial Celebration in 2013.

Kangaroo Stable

An Australian Racing team of the 1950’s, famous for their privately run DB3S.

Kamm tail

The flipped up tail, first seen on the ‘Project cars’ and subsequently on the DB6 – provided more stability at high speed.
