The new DBS Superleggera replaced the outgoing VH3 Vanquish as the halo model in the AM range. Based on the DB11, the DBS in the same way that the VH3 DBS and Vanquish were the ultimate development of the DB9. Despite the 'Superleggera' name (which means 'super light'), the DBS was a tad heavier than the DB11 V12. No worries, with a peak output of 700 bhp, the DBS seriously out performed the DB11. 700 bhp, the same as the One-77 from only a few years earlier.

For the 2022 model year, the Superleggera was dropped from the name and the car was simply known as the DBS.
