Five years ago, at the 2009 Silverstone Le Mans Series race, there was so much Aston Martin interest, a good result for the marque was almost guaranteed. What with the LMP1 DBR1-2, the AM engine Lola, a DBR9 and a V8 Vantage GT2, the track was nothing short of variety. The page featuring this epic race has just been updated with many previously unseen images.

The 2005 RAC TT race, Silverstone
- 13/12/2013It was 9 years ago that Aston Martin Racing was formed, a partnership between AML at Gaydon and Prodrive at Banbury. And the first, and arguably most successful car of that partnership was the FIA GT1 class DBR9. You may not know this but in four years of active service within the official works team, the AMR DBR9 only ever competed once on British soil at the 2005 RAC Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone. The page featuring this race has now been transferred from the old website to the new one.
