A NACA duct is a low drag air inlet design developed in 1945 by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics. Although not commonly seen on Aston Martins, NACA ducts are seen on the V8 Vantage Zagato Mule, the V8 Zagato and the AMR1.

ADS electronically adjusts the dampers according to the payload, the condition of the road surface and driving style. Developed by Bilstein and fitted to the VH V12 cars, initially as part of the Premium Sport Dynamic Pack DB9 and later as standard on the DB9 from 2011MY,  DBS, Virage, Gen4 DB9 and Vanquish.

A car body style that has evolved over time, but in the case of Aston Martin is used to describe sporting 2 and 4 door estate type cars built to carry guns, dogs and members of the hunting party. Examples include the DB5, DB6, DBS and Virage.

VH stands for Vertical/Horizontal and is nothing to do with the orientation of the components. ‘Vertical’ represents the vertical integration of the platforms components both up and down the current AM range, starting with the DB9. ‘Horizontal’ represents the horizontal spread of platform concept across to the other Ford brands, although with AM now independent, this never actually happened
