Revised page featuring the 2011 special edition, the DB9 SE Morning Frost.
The V8 Vantage N24 is the most successful Aston Martin race car of all time, if only in terms of numbers produced. Previewed by a converted prototype, Rose. the production car was initially constructed in a special facility within the Gaydon factory. As demand grew, production moved to Banbury and the AMR facility at Prodrive.
There has been something of an epidemic of replica DB4 GT Zagatos, thankfully based on Aston Martin chassis and with Aston Martin engines. Thus there is now a new page featuring these ‘genuine’ replicas. What this page does not show are copies of the Zagato without true Aston Martin provenance.
The original version of the V8 Vantage Roadster with the 4.3 engine was only in production for a little over a year. Seven years on and it has become one of the most popular cars to those buying their first Aston Martins.
Loads more images of the controversial Cygnet Concept from 2010 added today. The car was first shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show where is drew huge attention. Production followed a year later but the car was ultimately unsuccessful, in part due to the very high asking price but mostly having been snubbed owners of more conventional Aston Martins.
The products of Mansory are no to every bodies taste, but they do offer an interesting twist on the usually quite conservative Aston Martin. The page featuring the DB9 Volante with customisation by Mansory has just been revised with previously unseen images and updated text.
I have just found the photos from there Geneva Motor Show in 2010 of the Mansory Cyrus. This is a highly uprated DB9 from the German car modifiers. Not to every bodies liking but this site has quite a passion for the rarer and more unusual Aston Martins.
For four year, the hero car of the Aston Martin range was the DBS and it’s rarer convertible brother, the DBS Volante. The page featuring this quite spectacular and desirable car has been updated with many new and unpublished photographs.
