Five years ago, at the 2009 Silverstone Le Mans Series race, there was so much Aston Martin interest, a good result for the marque was almost guaranteed. What with the LMP1 DBR1-2, the AM engine Lola, a DBR9 and a V8 Vantage GT2, the track was nothing short of variety. Having been unable to be at Le Mans in 2010, I missed one of only two possible opertunities to photograph the AMR-One, the LMP1 racecar that was just a little too ahead of it’s time. No worries, thankfully one was displayed in Parc Prive during the Aston Martin Centenary Celebrations in Kensington Palace during July 2013.
