Cygnet Concept page revised

Loads more images of the controversial Cygnet Concept from 2010 added today. The car was first shown at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show where is drew huge attention. Production followed a year later but the car was ultimately unsuccessful, in part due to the very high asking price but mostly having been snubbed owners of more conventional Aston Martins.

Rapide Concept, page update

Back in 2006, Aston Martin unveiled the Rapide Concept, the first production 4 door Aston Martin since the 15/98 Saloon in 1936. The page featuring the Rapide has been updated with a number of previously unpublished photographs from the 2006 Geneva Motor Show.

AMV8 Vantage, the car that introduced us to the Modern Era

Back it 2003, AML showed us the future of the marque. The AMV8 Vantage was unveiled to the world at the Detroit Motor Show and as we all know, went on to be developed into the popular V8 Vantage which is still in production today. What many people are still unaware of is that the concept was actually built in India by a specialist company based on a 1999 DB7 Vantage Volante compete with V12 engine. We had no idea that the AMV8 Vantage was actually the first V12 Vantage. I have just scanned my negatives from 2003, many of the images have not been seen before.

The 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda prototype, a new page

No car quite captured my imagination as much as this, the 1976 Aston Martin Lagonda – the Car of the Future. Some say the design is dated, kitsch even, but taken in the context of the cars that filled our roads at that time and even now, the drama of seeing a Lagonda on the road even now is unmatched by any other exotic. If Gerry Anderson had still been making Thunderbirds in 1976, you can bet Geoff Tracy and Lady Penelope would be driving a wedge Lagonda.

New page on the one-off DB5 By Ogle Design

With a special and unique dashboard like this it could only be the one-off DB5 by Ogle Design. I found some pictures I took a few years ago at a Spring AMOC Concours at Waddesdon Manor.

Updated page on the DB7 i6 GT race car

The original DB7 GT was a sadly stillborn project from 1995 designed by Prodrive. Loads of new photos of both examples of the DB7 i6 GT added this morning.

DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial

No excuses needed to tell you that we have added new images of the DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial. The Spyder has recently been seen on the Concept Lawn during the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegence; quite easily the most desirable new Aston Martin of this Centenary Year.
