DBRS9 prototype page updated

Aston Martin Racing took the opportunity to unveil the DBRS9 on their stand within the paddock at Le Mans, just a couple of days before the 73rd running of the 24 hour race, 16th/17th June 2005. Many new images added.

The 2005 RAC TT race, Silverstone

It was 9 years ago that Aston Martin Racing was formed, a partnership between AML at Gaydon and Prodrive at Banbury. And the first, and arguably most successful car of that partnership was the FIA GT1 class DBR9. You may not know this but in four years of active service within the official works team, the AMR DBR9 only ever competed once on British soil at the 2005 RAC Tourist Trophy race at Silverstone. The page featuring this race has now been transferred from the old website to the new  one.

Finally seen an AMR-One

Having been unable to be at Le Mans in 2010, I missed one of only two possible opertunities to photograph the AMR-One, the LMP1 racecar that was just a little too ahead of it’s time. No worries, thankfully one was displayed in Parc Prive during the Aston Martin Centenary Celebrations in Kensington Palace during July 2013.
