Many Aston Martin prototypes have been identified with chassis numbers starting with DP for ‘design prototype’. Thus any car with the ‘DP’ prefix in the chassis number is a project car. More commonly, this refers specifically to the GT race cars from 1962/3, loosely based on the DB4 GT, known as DP212,  DP214, of which two were built and DP215.
