V12 Vanquish Roadster by Zagato…….what if?

What if this, the most spectacular variant of the V12 Vanquish actually achieved production reality? The V12 Vanquish Roadster by Zagato was perhaps the star of the 2004 Geneva Motor Show but only this, the single prototype was built. Rarely seen since, the car was shown in public at ‘The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering’ during August 2013. Loads of new images added to the page including previously unseen shots from the 2004 Geneva show.

DB9 Centenary Edition unveilled

The DB9 Centenary Edition has become the third model of this years most have special edition. It was unveiled at the start of the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show and joins the Vanquish and Rapide S which were first shown earlier in the year.

V8 Vantage N24 prototype, ‘Rose’

The page featuring the very first V8 Vantage N24 has been updated with plenty of new images. ‘Rose’ as the car is known is still owned by Aston Martin and has been shown extensively during the Centenary Celebrations of the marque.

DB3S Fixedhead Coupe

Such an attractive car, the Aston Martin DB3S Fixedhead Coupe. Yet so very rare. Only 5 were ever built and of the five, only two cars remain with their original coachwork. Plenty of new images of this wonderful racing car of the mid 1950’s.

Revised Vanquish Centenary Edition page

More pictures of the Centenary Vanquish added today. Here is a close up of what is the best Aston Martin wings badge ever. The Centennial editions all receive bespoke sterling silver AM wings badges, to a new design featuring additional rays within the wings visible through the transparent enamel.

Bertone Jet 2, plenty of new pictures

Loads of new images of the wonderful 2004 Bertone Jet 2. The V12 Vanquish based 2 door shooting brake has recently been shown anew at the 2013 Geneva Salon and the Aston Martin Centenary Celebration.

Museums and Collections

There is now a totally new Link Category which has a listing of museums and collections containing Aston Martins and Lagondas. Most but not all are open to the public. This particular photograph shows the Blackhawk Museum in Danville, California. As you will be able to make out, they have a particularly fine collection of rare Aston Martins on show.

The page featuring the DB9 MY2011 coupe has been updated with a few more photographs of this scarce model. As buyers were more tempted by the 2011 Rapide and DBS and a little later, the Virage, demand for the DB9 dipped for a while until the new Gen4 DB9 was introduced in 2012.
