There has been a major update of the DB7 section with many new photographs of previously unseen cars.

DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial

No excuses needed to tell you that we have added new images of the DB9 Spyder Zagato Centennial. The Spyder has recently been seen on the Concept Lawn during the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegence; quite easily the most desirable new Aston Martin of this Centenary Year.

Short Chassis Volante

Many new pictures have been added to the page featuring the rare short chassis Volante today. Only 37 were built during 1965-1966 and the very best example is strongly featured. This car achieved 2nd place in the Aston Martin Centenary class during Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegence in August 2013.

The Sotheby Special, 70’s kitch design at it’s very best

The page featuring the wonderfully unusual DBSV8 Sotheby Special has been updated with new photographs of the original car. The Sotherby Special, with coachwork designed and built by Ogle Design is rarely seen in public so it was special for it to be included in the Centenary Timeline at Kensingtonn Palace in July 2013.

Lola T70 with Aston Martin V8 engine

This is not an Aston Martin yet is a very important piece of Aston Martin history. This Lola T70 raced during 1967 with a prototype of the AM V8 engine that went on to be used in Aston Martins for the next 30 years.

Finally seen an AMR-One

Having been unable to be at Le Mans in 2010, I missed one of only two possible opertunities to photograph the AMR-One, the LMP1 racecar that was just a little too ahead of it’s time. No worries, thankfully one was displayed in Parc Prive during the Aston Martin Centenary Celebrations in Kensington Palace during July 2013.

The rarest DB7?

The rarest DB7?

After checking through photographs that I took at this years Silverstone Historic Festival, I  realised that parked amongst 300 other Astons was the unique one-of-one DB7 V12 Vantage Volante GTS II. The rarest DB7 ever made? Quite possibly.

Razor Blade, the narrowest race car of all-time?

The page featuring the Bamford and martin race car, Razor Blade, has been totally updated with loads of new photographs. This particular image shows Razor Blade alongside A3 and the head of the 101 car timeline of Aston Martins as part of the Centenary Celebrations.

Centenary Celebrations Kensington Palace Programme

The programme for the Centenary Celebrations is now available from Aston Martin online. As was a co-writer and contributor to the publication, I can tell you how hard everyone worked to create a wonderful souvenir of the greatest AM event of all time

Get your programme NOW before they all sell out and your only option is to pay way over the odds on ebay!

And yes, I really did go up on a crane to take this image.
