The V8 Zagato Volante page has had something of a refresh this week. Quite a few new pictures of the only convertible car created between Aston Martin and zagato. 

Nieman Marcus, American luxury specialty Department store have added a special edition Vanquish Volante to the 87th edition of their famous Christmas Book. What makes this limited edition of such interest is that it is closely based on the specification of the 1969 DB6 Mark 2 Volante that Prince Charles, Prince of Wales has owned from new

Here is one of a very tiny number of prototype DB7’s known to have survived. It is the final fully engineered i6 Volante and was owned by TWR until 2001. It is of course highly unusual for a prototype car to have survived and enter private ownership as they are almost always destroyed after they have fulfilled their useful lives.

Many new pictures have been added to the page featuring the rare short chassis Volante today. Only 37 were built during 1965-1966 and the very best example is strongly featured. This car achieved 2nd place in the Aston Martin Centenary class during Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegence in August 2013.
