Following the first run of dealer launch DB11 Coupes, the next 1,000 or so, were personally inspected by the then AML CEO, Dr Andy Palmer. These cars all appear to have the launch edition sill plates but might not follow the standard cosmetic specification of the six launch schemes. But what they all share is the coverted ‘Final inspection by Dr Andy Palmer, CEO, Aston Martin’.
Dr Palmer was so confident of the build quality, he even suppled his email and phone number to buyers so they could contact him personally should any problems materialise.
These particular cars, known as the CEO Launch Editions, are especially desirable.
