DBS Superleggera OHMSS Edition

(2019) 2020 model year

Q by Aston Martin

For Christmas 1969, the 6th James Bond film, On Her Majesty's Secret Service was released with our hero, played for the first and last time by Australian actor, George Lazenby. In it, 007 was reunited with and Aston Martin, a 6-cylinder DBS in Olive Green. In period, but the film and the DBS was not especially well received. George Lazenby wasn’t Sean Connery and the DBS wasn’t as quick as the earlier DB5. Fortunately, time has been more forgiving to both the film and the car. I’m not alone in thinking OHMSS was one of the very best Bond films and the 6-cylinder DBS has become a respected and desirable car.

DBS Superleggera OHMSS Edition

Fast forward 50 years, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the film and the Olive Green DBS, Aston Martin unveiled the DBS Superleggera OMHSS. Finished in Olive Green as you might expect, the OMHSS edition had many unique features such as a six vane front grille, unique gloss black diamond turned wheels and bright side strakes with OHMSS script. Both the cantrails and roof were finished in body colour and the exhaust tips had a bright finish. On the inside, the DBS Superleggera was trimmed in pure black leather, accented by grey blend Alcantra, as in the original 1969 DBS. The cockpit was accented in red, inspired by the red trimmed glovebox in the original car, which held 007’s telescopic-sight rifle.

The edition was limited to 50 cars only and the UK price tag was £300,007.
