Cygnet Discontinued?

It appears that the news on the net might well be true. The Cygnet is bereft of life, resting in peace, pushing up the daisies, its metabolic processes are now history, off the twig, kicked the bucket, shuffled off this mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin’ choir invisible.

This image shows the most famous Cygnet of all, belonging to the former Aston Martin works driver, Sir Stirling Moss, parked next to another discontinued model, the One-77.

With apologies to Monty Python of course

Prototype DB7 i6 Volante

Here is one of a very tiny number of prototype DB7’s known to have survived. It is the final fully engineered i6 Volante and was owned by TWR until 2001. It is of course highly unusual for a prototype car to have survived and enter private ownership as they are almost always destroyed after they have fulfilled their useful lives.

James Bond’s DBS from Casino Royale

Loads of new images of a pair of DBS’s used in the making of the James Bond film, Casino Royale. Five cars were used in total during filming, two hero cars used for close-ups and regular driving with another three were modified DB9 prototypes stunt cars.

DB2/4 Mark II Spyder by Touring

This delightful open car is based on the DB2/4 Mark II fitted with two seater spyder coachwork by the famous Italian company, Carrozzeria Touring of Milan. Plenty of new images of what is arguably the most attractive Aston Martin of the 1950’s.

V12 Vanquish Roadster by Zagato…….what if?

What if this, the most spectacular variant of the V12 Vanquish actually achieved production reality? The V12 Vanquish Roadster by Zagato was perhaps the star of the 2004 Geneva Motor Show but only this, the single prototype was built. Rarely seen since, the car was shown in public at ‘The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering’ during August 2013. Loads of new images added to the page including previously unseen shots from the 2004 Geneva show.

V8 Vantage N24 prototype, ‘Rose’

The page featuring the very first V8 Vantage N24 has been updated with plenty of new images. ‘Rose’ as the car is known is still owned by Aston Martin and has been shown extensively during the Centenary Celebrations of the marque.

DB3S Fixedhead Coupe

Such an attractive car, the Aston Martin DB3S Fixedhead Coupe. Yet so very rare. Only 5 were ever built and of the five, only two cars remain with their original coachwork. Plenty of new images of this wonderful racing car of the mid 1950’s.
