Glossary of Aston Martin Terms

If you’re new the the fascinating world of Aston Martins, this this glossary may help you. Words like ‘superleggera’ ‘kamm tail’ and ‘cosmetic’ often cause confusion so this section is here to demystify things a little. I have tried to include as many specialised Aston Martin related words as possible plus some others which have caused confusion to visitors in the past. UB2010

Special edition DBS from 2010 celebrating the tenth anniversary of Dr Bez being the CEO of Aston Martin Lagonda.

Ultimate

The name given to the last of the line of two recent Aston Martin models, namely the V12 Vanquish and the V12 DBS have been marketed as special editions using the ‘Ultimate’ name. Such cars are the most sort after examples of each respective model.

Ulster

The ultimate pre-war sportscar. Based on the successful 1934 works cars, the Ulster was guaranteed capable of 100mph. Made in tiny numbers, the Ulster is highly precious and coveted today yet can still be seen in historic racing on a regular basis.
