V12 Vanquish MY2004

(2003 - 2004)

At the IAA Frankfurt Show in September 2003, AM premiered MY2004 Vanquish (see above). Instantly visible from the exterior are rarely seen 7 spoke 19” alloy wheels equipped with Yokohama 255/40 ZR 19 front and 285/40 ZR 19 rear tyres, designed exclusively for the V12 Vanquish. The original 12-spoke alloy wheel still remained available as a no cost option. The interior was also slightly re-worked with new front seats with better support for the shoulders. The deep centre console casting, door release surrounds, instrument pack surround and other interior fittings were finished in a new liquid metal finish called Platinum, plus the red plastic starter button was replaced by the backlit etched glass version as also used on the DB9.

Not so clearly visible, but of great importance were the new anti-lock ventilated and grooved Brembo discs – 355mm (front) and 330mm (rear) – with uprated competition-derived Pagid brake pads. These were balanced with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) is used to re-balance front and rear braking forces under different loads.

The 2004MY V12 Vanquish was the last example of the regular car until the uprated V12 Vanquish S was introduced at the 2004 Paris Motor Show.
