(2007 / 2013)

Even for such a small manufacturer, Aston Martin still need to build a number of prototypes for each new model. Yet despite them being both beautiful and precious, most are totally destroyed after their useful life is over. So this prototype DBS V12 is a rare survivor. It was displayed at the Gaydon factory during Centenary Week where over 1,200 guests enjoyed centenary-themed activities including the creation of a Michelin star-standard pop-up ‘restaurant’ on the production line.

AML had kindly provided Sharpie pens and guests were encouraged to write messages on every surface of the car. I believe that the company were planning to preserve the car, messages and all, although I cannot find out if this is actually true.

The graffiti car concept returned in 2017 when a ‘spare’ Rapide S was made available for visitors to AML Employee weekend to leave messages.
