For almost 13 years, the DB9 was the stalwart model of the Aston Martin range. During that time, a shade over 16,500 examples have been carefully hand assembled in the Gaydon facility, the greatest number of any DB model. But the time of the DB9 quietly came to an end in July 2016. There was no 'Ultimate' model, no 'Final Edition' almost no razzmatazz, that has been reserved for the upcoming DB11. Only when the last model was completed did we learn about the final nine examples ever built.

The last nine examples of the DB9, actually called ‘Last of the 9’ were built to identical specification with special touches by Q by Aston Martin. All coupes, and all finished in a real heritage colour of Cumberland Grey (remember the 1980’s Bond spec V8). The interiors feature Bitter Chocolate Semi-Aniline hide with a rather unusual gold coloured welt and thread.
